Dr. Andrew Wilkerson is a great Dr. But some of the staff ruins the place like his nurse pam who will lie to you outright and then if you call her out on it she will attempt to turn it around on you...i wouldn't recommend this place to anyone cause they cold turkey meds that cause seizures to someone who already has seizures and Pam is a nurse who says adderral has no side effects and ALL stimulants have side effects and I'll take a pharmacist word over a nurses any day and he even wonders how she is a nurse. Then she treats you like an addict when you call her on a lie "You're not getting nothing from here till we are told by your Dr or a cardiologist that it's safe to so"....ummm I caught you in a lie so now all of the sudden that's the issue? Idk about anyone else but if I don't trust a doctors nurse I really can't trust the doctor and reason she wouldn't tell me is cause her info was received by another Dr's crnp who I don't even see which is hippa violation if she admitted it but just report it to your insurance and the board of medical examiner's and recording everything a doctor or staff says is also comes in handy and i did it for memory issues but it comes in handy!!!!
Waited over 2 hours to be seen. Staff is very unpleasant. Not to mention the hour drive here from Decatur because the doctor wasn't going to be in Decatur for a while. I'm a nurse, so I'm well aware of how things should run. I bring ID clients here. We will definitely be changing doctors.
Unprofessional, rude and demeaning staff. Psychiatrists treat patients as if they are below them. Don't even attempt to get American Disabilities Act letters from them. The staff will not even acknowledge you as a person, let alone help you. Your mental health records are yours by law, do not let them keep them against your will. Take legal action.
Part of the corporate system for mental health that have popped up like mushrooms since the passage of ACA to once again include addiction and the 28 day program. The reception staff was extremely rude, the wait time was torture (I was there 2.5 hours) and to top it all off, was informed my urine sample revealed methanphedimine, I am 61 years old, don't even drink or smoke and when I howled and demanded another sample be taken the doctor cut me off and said it didn't matter. I wasn't just born yesterday, test results go to insurance companies and no telling where else. I am in the process of demanding another test. This is like the McDonald's of mental health. It had an assembly line feel and I felt sorry for people who really needed help. These places all went away in the early 2000's when the money dried up, but now that the cash spicket is back on they are under the tap. And the public will suffer. Stay away from this place
Wouldn't recommend this place if it had the last doc on earth. Went 3 times. 1st time fine. 2nd time was 10 min late and they wouldn't c me. 3rd time, doc had moved to Decatur and I was not notified until I got there. Impressive
